Justin Wheeler Director of Content and Programming
Justin Wheeler is a national award-winning journalist and media producer born in Racine, Wisconsin. While receiving his bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from UW-Milwaukee, he was the first college student to be awarded a national Edward R. Murrow Award for his work on a story revealing gaps in campus safety for many universities in the state. Justin has been published in multiple online outlets, and donates time to numerous nonprofits in his hometown. In 2014, Justin was honored at the Bridging the Gaps Mental Health Symposium for a documentary he produced about people living with and recovering from mental illness.
Jason Love Education Coordinator
Jason Love is a YouTuber, Filmmaker, and Video Production Educator from Racine, Wisconsin. In 2001, he graduated with a BA in Psychology from Northland College, he received his Master of Business Administration from UW-Parkside and studied film and animation at UW-Milwaukee. Jason has received several grants for his documentary series telling the stories of individuals on the autism spectrum; his most popular video currently has over 1/2 million views on YouTube. He has worked with NBC, ABC, Scientific America, Buzzfeed, PBS, and has been teaching animation to youth across Wisconsin for over 13 years. His company, Compulsive Creative Media, creates and runs YouTube workshops for students through the Racine Unified School District After School Program.
BJ Rayniak Director of Studio Operations
BJ Rayniak is an independent film Producer and Director from Burlington, Wisconsin who studied filmmaking at Columbia College Chicago. In 2004, he moved to Los Angeles and worked on numerous movies, TV shows, music videos and commercials. This led to a unique opportunity working for the Hollywood Location Company as an On-Site Representative where he learned the day to day operations of managing a studio. In 2006, BJ moved back to Wisconsin with the purpose of creating films in his home state through his company, Rayni Day Productions. Since then, he and his wife, Angie, have produced the award winning feature film "The Rocket" and are currently in post-production on their suspense thriller "BLAME" as well as the documentary "The Worth of Water: A Great Lakes Story."
Michael Determan Director of Special Projects
Michael Thomas Determan is a freelance Cinematographer, Photographer, Writer and Actor from Racine, Wisconsin. In 2003, he graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Business Management, Finance and Human Resources from UW-Parkside, followed by a Master's of Science in Management (MSM) from Cardinal Stritch University. Mike has worked on several award winning short and feature length films throughout Wisconsin and Illinois, and recently started his own production company, Determined Digital.
